Best Black Friday 2017 Drone Deals

Black Friday, the holy shrine of all consumerism, is fast approaching. If you wish to actually get a good deal on something you want rather than crazily fighting for waffle irons in a Walmart at 5am, it's best to go in with a game plan. While TVs and video game consoles are often the most heavily discounted items, drones have begun to see more sales in recent years as they become more mainstream. So, to make your job easier, we have rounded up the best deals on each of the most popular drones below:

DJI Spark

Percentage wise, the Spark is seeing the biggest discount for Black Friday of any of the DJI drones. Target, Best Buy, and several other major retailers will offering the controller-less Spark for $399, $100 off it's usual $499 price tag. DJI will also be offering the standard Spark for $399, but sweetens the deal by including a free landing pad, set of propeller holders, and hand guard — a total value of $36 purchased separately.
However, the best deal on the standard Spark is surprisingly from Kohl's. Though they can't offer it for any less than the $399 price, you'll get $120 in Kohl's cash with your purchase, which can go a long ways toward anything else on your holiday shopping list.
As for the Spark ultimate combo, you'll find it for $599 pretty much everywhere, though once again DJI is sweetening their deal by including the same three accessories.

DJI Mavic Pro

The DJI Mavic Pro is one of the most popular drones on the market today, and with good reason. It's extremely portable like the Spark, but also offers 4k, a 3-axis gimbal, and 28 minute flight times for less than the Phantom 4 series. Most retailers will be offering the
standard Mavic Pro for $899 ($100 off) or $1149 ($150 off) for the Fly More Combo. Like with the Spark, DJI won't be offering any additional discounts on top of what you can get elsewhere and instead will include a free landing pad, set of propeller holders, and propeller guards — a $41 dollar bundle.
The newly released Mavic Pro Platinum unfortunately won't see any discounts at all this Black Friday.

Yuneec Breeze 4K

Despite being a few years old now, the Yuneec Breeze is still a decent drone. However, for it's usual $400 price tag it is certainly overpriced when compared to the Spark. Luckily, Walmart will be offering the Breeze for just $200. Not only is this the lowest price we've ever seen the Yuneec Breeze go for, but Walmart will also be including a video game style bluetooth controller so you don't have to fly it using only your smartphone; one of my biggest complaints when I reviewed it back in April
Though I would usually tell most people to pass on this drone, with the 50% price drop and inclusion of a physical controller the Yuneec Breeze becomes a very enticing buy for a small travel drone or a gift for someone looking to dip their toe into the drone world.

GoPro Karma

GoPro might have had some initial issues with the their Karma drone platform, but over the past year they have steadily worked to make it better with software updates and more importantly the release of the 4k/60fps capable GoPro HERO6. While it still might not be on par with the DJI's drones, especially in terms of sensors and battery life, the Karma is still a good choice for those who film a lot with GoPros.
The Karma comes in two versions: one with the HERO5 and the other with the new HERO6 — retailing for $1100 & $1200 respectively. For this Black Friday the Karma is seeing a $200 markdown across both models until the 27th of November. This sale is available through Amazon, B&H Photo, Best Buy, GoPro and pretty much any other retailer selling the Karma.

DJI Phantom 4 Pro

Almost certainly the best drone available under $1500, the Phantom 4 Pro is a great buy no matter the price. As such, any discount is always welcomed so that is why I included it in this list. DJI isn't going to be dropping the price of either the Phantom 4 Pro or Advanced models. Instead they'll be including an extra battery ($169 value) as well as a landing pad and 32gb Sandisk MicroSD card ($37 value).
The only store that'll have the Phantom 4 Pro for less is B&H Photo which is currently selling it for only $1285, $115 off the standard $1499 price.

Parrot Disco FPV

The only prosumer fixed wing drone available, the Disco is more geared towards FPV flying than actual filming. This, along with it's fairly high $899 price tag (it actually started priced at $1200) has limited its mass appeal and thus sales. For Black Friday, Parrot is going to be making it a lot more tempting of a fun buy, marking it down to $599 at various stores including Amazon, B&H, Best Buy, and of course Parrot's own website.
Parrot will also be offering Black Friday sales on some of their other popular drones including the Bebop 2, Parrot Mambo, and Parrot Bebop 2 Power.

Other Drone Stuff

A few random saving on drones and drone accessories which I felt didn't deserve their own spot but still were good buys.
