Best Drone Deals For November 2016

While the DJI Mavic Pro and GoPro Karma might be the only two drones getting any press these days, there still are a lot of good drones out there for people looking to get started in aerial photography, and at a fraction of the price. Drones, such as the DJI Phantom 4, which are barely half a year old routinely have the prices slashed in order to stay competitive in a market which is innovating at the speed of light. Because of this, you can easily buy a drone for under $1000 and often even under $500. Here are the current best deals on drones you can find online:

3DR Solo (was $1400/now $399)

Despite 3D Robotics discontinuing the Solo and pivoting to focus on commercial drone uses, I still believe that the software for this drone is one of the best on the market. I purchased the Solo when it first came out for $1400 with the gimbal, but you can get it for $1000 less through B&H. True, you still have to get a GoPro 3+ or GoPro 4, but those have dropped in price since the release of the HERO5. Below is a video I filmed using the 3DR Solo and GoPro 4 Black.

DJI Phantom 3 Standard (was $500/now $379)

The DJI Phantom 3 was and still is one of the most popular drones of all time. While this particular discount through Best Buy is only on the introductory model, its 12MP sensor, 2.7k video, and 1km
range is plenty for someone looking to give aerial photography/videography a try. Hard to argue for the newer DJI Phantom 4 when this is a third of the price.

Autel Robotics X-Star Premium (was $899/now $699 plus $150 rebate)

Though Autel Robotics is a relative newcomer to the US drone scene, they shouldn't be overlooked especially when you can get one of their top of the line models for over $350 off. Its specs are essentially identical to the Phantom 3 Standard, but it also includes a hard case and Autel's unique  Star Point Positioning System to help beginners fly without GPS.

Yuneec Typhoon H (was $1300/now $987)

The Yuneec Typhoon H is truly the most 'unique' as it's not just the only hexacopter on this list but also the only drone included to feature a 360° rotatable gimbal. Though this version doesn't included the freakishly smart Intel RealSense system, it still has a front facing sensor like the Phantom 4, to stop you from flying straight into anything. The included CGO3+ camera takes 16MP stills and 4K video, plus they also include a backpack so you can take the drone with you on your next adventure.

Those are all the big deals on drones available online currently, but with the holiday season just around the corner (along with the release of the DJI Inspire 2 on November 15th), you can expect to see other drones get some exciting discounts as well. If you see any you think should be included in my next round up (or think I missed one for this list) feel free to leave a comment below or hit me up on one of my socials.

  2. You don't need to crop the images for the perfect shot. The camera mount is attached towards the front side of the drone, so that you get the perfect shot.Follow Me Drone

  5. The comparability of the two eyes beginner quadcopter reviews to the person is proportional to the two cameras found on the Parrot AR Drone.

  6. What an amazing editorial this is. I am particularly interested with the 3rd Solo. I admire the full-featured app for iOS and Android. The price is also budget-conscious. Here is another guide I found on drones: http://mydronelab.com/buyers-guide/buying-a-drone.html
